Childbirth Education prepares and empowers prospective parents for the labor and birth of their child. Whether the birth is scheduled to happen at home, in a hospital, or at a birth center, and whether or not the choice is made to use medical intervention, receiving a thorough birth education during pregnancy can teach parents how to make informed decisions about their birth and the care of their baby. This class includes information on the stages and signs of labor, nutrition, relaxation techniques, comfort measures used in labor and birth, pushing, cesarean birth, common medical interventions, newborn baby screening tests, baby care and breastfeeding. This course is taught by Hannah Halliwell, CLEC and Brandi Jordan, MSW who have combined their collective birth and postpartum experiences and training to create this interesting and engaging class experience.
This Childbirth Education class is a six week series. $400/couple

Breastfeeding for New Parents
As a new parent, one of your most important jobs is feeding your baby. In this introduction to breastfeeding class you will learn about the benefits of breastfeeding, some tips for positioning and latch, optimal nutrition for the breastfeeding mother, information about returning to work, and much more. Come get off to a great start for you and your baby.
Classes meet once monthly and usually run 2-2.5hrs.
